A long day

It was not that bad of a travel day. We have certainly had worse! When we got to the Madison airport, I could see that there were several flights that were cancelled. Luckily ours was not. And luckily Katie was paying attention. I just got in line where everyone else was standing and after a little while of standing there Katie turns to me and asks me why we are standing in the special service line!
Then when we finally to get into the right line, the lady is telling me that almost a whole country is screwed up with flights. She said an airplane flight of the runway at LaGuardia, Detroit was getting a ton of now so they were calling, Chicago was closed, Colorado was closed and Atlanta had severe delays because of the severe rain.  So, although we were delayed 30 minutes, we were all clad that we were getting out and would be able to sleep in our own beds that night.
It did not help that both Ben and Hunter fell fast asleep in the last 20 minutes of the flight. I love that direct flight out of Madison! Anyway, they were like dead to the world and it was really hard to wake them up.  On top of that, then we had to walk through the whole airport and get our bags, take the shuttle out to the parking lot and hope that I remembered where we parked!
Anyway, those kids are great little travelers!
