Welcome back...

So we arrive back from Florida safe and sound. All refreshed from having played in the sand in the ocean. We had a great time at the wedding. It was really special to see you my daughter be part of Kacy's wedding when little Kacy had been part of my wedding and my aunt Rhonda and I have always had a special relationship.

And this is a great picture of my welcome home! This is Benjamin's butt after he apparently found a secret mud puddle and proceeded to slip into it and fall on his bottom and get himself full of mud. How he found that pile of mud, I am not sure. It was actually even chunky mud! Needless to say, Benjamin rode home in the car in his boxers!

And she even eats crab legs!

Our last night in Florida we all went out for dinner. Katie had never tried crab legs before and decided that she thought it would be fun to crack the legs. And she did! Nothing better than crab legs and drawn butter. Yum!

Look at Patrick! Is he not the cutest little guy in the whole wedding.

Florida

Kate & I headed to Florida together. Katie was a flower girl in our cousin's wedding. It was a great girls only get away! Nothing like the ocean!!

Celebrating a little after we made it down Mount Nebo!

Note to self....

Just because the road up to Mt. Nebo is open does not mean you should go.  If you see snow....GO BACK!

While the Noll's were here, we decided to take a little trip up Nebo. We drove all the way to Payson to come up and back over the mountain.

We noticed there was quite a bit of snow on the road but people had gone through and we follow their tracks. In some places the snow was about 12 to 18 inches! After awhile, I could hardly look out the window.

So, we get all the way to the summit which is 9343 feet up and about a mile past that the tracks in the snow end.  So we have to turn back around and go all the way back the way we came! Plus, we we're on the danger low mark as far as gas was concerned.

It certain was a lesson learned. It is unbelievable how quickly things can go to being really terrible. For example, if we would have slid off the road and someone had to walk out, we would have run out of gas and probably have had to sleep in the car on the top of the mountains with no one knowing we were up there. You hear and read about people that that happened to you and I always used to think "how stupid can you be?"  But that was us!

A good time had by all!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

Visit with the Noll's

Bob and Deb got a new phone....this is the only tiny little spot where the phone works in the cabin!

Really proud

I have not really ever chopped wood before. Yeah- with an ax I am talking! But now....I am getting to be an expert. I chopped all this cedar to help get the fire started back up in the morning.
It's the little things, right?

Hunter's second riding lesson!
He is a natural, and does things with such conviction that the horse simply follows. It is a joy to see him channel his energy. The trainer is wonderful! She even says things like, " feel the power of your energy travel through the rope." I love that someone, other than us, is teaching him that concept. It comes so easily to him and in a fun way when he does it with the horses.
Such a great lesson!

Wow! We have walls on the main floor! This picture was taken on Friday November 2nd.

This is my morning walking partner. No kidding! She followed me the whole way.
