Birthday turkey

So for Katie's birthday dinner we had turkey. I could not believe how much all the kids ate! They all had thirds and if you know how Ben eats, that is pretty amazing!

It was really a wonderful dinner. Hunter was in such a good mood he suggested that we say a prayer. So, he began by saying thank you to me for this wonderful meal and to thank God for the great weather and the sunny day. I thanked God that he sent me Katie and wished her a happy birthday. Then it was Katie's turn. She thanked me for birthing her, if you can believe it! She then went on to thank the turkey we were about to eat. She also thanked the garden and God for helping it grow because we were eating baked potatoes that we grew in our garden with fresh garden chives! Last year we only got 3 radishes! But this year, we have a ton of everything!

When it was Ben's turn, he said he was thankful for Katie and that she was his sister and then went on to thank God that he had opened the diamond for her on her birthday. He was referring to the star Lily in a bouquet of birthday flowers we had bought for Katie. It was all very sweet and touching and I felt really blessed!
